Auto accidents may cause life-changing injuries

| Jun 25, 2020 | Auto Accidents |

Traffic accidents can have many causes. Drivers who are distracted, impaired or simply impatient create dangerous situations on Minnesota roads every day. While the causes of auto accidents may be many, the results are often the same. Unsuspecting travelers suffer injuries through no fault of their own.

Recently, a three-vehicle accident left two people with injuries. It happened when a 34-year-old driver of an SUV attempted to make a left turn from the southbound lanes to the eastbound lanes. Apparently, she turned into the path of car in the intersection, and the two vehicles collided. The impact sent the car into the northbound lanes where it crashed into another vehicle carrying a driver and four children.

The passenger in the car struck by the SUV and the driver of the vehicle transporting the children were both injured. They were transported to the hospital for undisclosed medical treatment of what the media described as injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening. However, this does not mean those injuries were not life-altering.

Even when injuries are not life-threatening, they can disrupt or even permanently change the life of the victim and his or her family. Injuries from auto accidents often result in expensive diagnostic tests, surgery, hospitalization, medication and time lost from work. Victims may also suffer emotional trauma that can affect every area of their lives. These are not matters to take lightly, and a skilled legal professional can assist Minnesota accident victims in pursuing the compensation they need and deserve.
